Overview

Atheer ("we", "our", or "the app") is a podcast player for iPhone. This policy describes what data we handle and how. The short version: we handle as little as possible, and nothing identifying ever leaves your device.

Data we do not collect

• No account or registration is required
• We do not collect your name, email, or any personally identifiable information
• We do not track your listening habits or history
• We do not use advertising SDKs or analytics frameworks
• We do not share any data with third parties

Data stored on your device

Atheer stores the following locally on your iPhone using SwiftData. This data never leaves your device:

• Your podcast subscriptions and library
• Episode playback progress and history
• App preferences and settings
• Cached episode artwork and feed data

Network requests

Atheer makes outbound requests only to fetch podcast RSS feeds and artwork directly from podcast publishers — the same requests any podcast app makes. These requests are made on your behalf and do not pass through our servers.

We use the Podcast Index API for search and discovery. Please refer to their privacy policy for details on their data handling.

Children's privacy

Atheer is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
